There are 3 types of acceptance for submissions:

• Oral Presentation: Presenter must attend the in-person conference to present their work as an in-person oral presentation. In addition, the presentation will be live streamed, recorded and made available as on-demand content on the virtual conference platform.

• Hybrid Poster: Presenter must attend the in-person conference to present their poster during one of the “Poster Viewing with Author” sessions. In addition, the presenter must upload a PDF version of their poster to the virtual conference platform.

• E-Poster: Presenter must present their work virtually by uploading their poster as a PDF document to the virtual platform. Presenter must register for the conference and can decide to either attend in-person or online.

ESHG 2027 seeks accreditation from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®); see the conference website for credit distribution per day and session. In-person participants: scan your badge daily at the CME station next to the General Information Desk, and complete the relevant session evaluations on the virtual platform by November 30, 2027, 23.59 CEST. Online-only participants: watch the relevant sessions on the virtual platform and complete the same evaluations by the same deadline. Each evaluation becomes available once its live session has concluded. Download your CME certificate from the “CME Evaluation” tab in the conference portal.

All registered participants (in-person and online) can download it from the “Certificates” module on the virtual conference platform, available from June 12, 2027, 10.00 CEST.

Lunch must be pre-ordered before the conference – lunch tickets cannot be purchased on-site. Your lunch vouchers print together with your badge; keep them safe, as lost vouchers cannot be reissued for fraud-prevention reasons.

The Opening Networking Mixer is free of charge for in-person registered participants. For the Networking evening, a separate ticket is required. This can be purchased during the registration process or still later, if tickets are still available (first come-first serve principle). No separate tickets or vouchers are issued – access is linked directly to your badge, which is scanned on-site at the entrance, so bring it to both events. If you booked an Accompanying Ticket, check in together with your guest, as that ticket information is also stored on your badge. Without your badge, access cannot be guaranteed.

Some sponsors offer live streaming of their in-person corporate sessions through the virtual platform.

Yes, online registration for online only participation is possible until September 30, 2027.

Hybrid posters are uploaded as PDFs to the virtual platform for online viewing, though the in-person “Poster viewing with Authors” sessions themselves are not accessible online – questions can be sent to hybrid poster presenters via the platform’s messaging system. E-posters are PDF-only on the platform as well, also with no live interaction; questions go through the same messaging system.

Yes. All recorded live sessions and e-posters remain available on the virtual platform until November 30, 2027, 23.59 CEST, after which the platform closes.

Yes. All scientific sessions taking place at the venue are recorded and live-streamed in real time. A live Q&A/chat function lets online participants ask questions during live sessions, and session chairs are instructed to draw on questions from the chat and from the room equally. All programme times refer to Central European Summer Time (CEST, UTC+2).

Through the conference website, logging in with the same email address and password you used for registration. Google Chrome is the recommended browser (Firefox also works). Access it from any laptop, tablet or mobile device with internet access.

Use the “request password” option in the login area – passwords cannot be sent by email for security and privacy reasons. If problems persist, contact the conference organiser.

Speakers & Presenters

Yes, via “Submissions” in the conference portal – click your presentation title to start the submission. The abstract becomes accessible to registered participants and the general public via the website programme, the app and the virtual platform.

Yes. Due to EACCME regulations, speakers must disclose possible conflicts of interest on the first slide of their presentation. An example slide template is provided by the organisers.

In the portal, click your name (top right corner) and select “Profile.” Upload a headshot (600x600px, under 2MB, jpeg or png) and add a short biography under Personal Settings. Both become visible to registered participants and the public via the website, app and platform.

After the conference you will receive a link to an online reimbursement form by email. Submit your contact and bank details along with a single PDF of all invoices/receipts. Reimbursement is made by bank transfer to the stated account.

All oral, hybrid poster and e-poster presenters can download it from the conference portal in the week following the conference. Please do not email requests in advance of this.

Your personal QR code is sent in the “ESHG 2027 – Final Information for Participants” email; scan it at a self-printing terminal onsite to print your badge.

Typically between 15-30 minutes total, including 5-10 minutes for live discussion. Check your personalised speaker email for your exact session and presentation time.

Upload your slides either online via the conference portal or at the Speaker Service Centre at the venue, at least 3 hours before your session starts. Slides cannot be uploaded in the session hall itself. If you are unable to present, contact the organising office immediately.
